At Community Waikato, our number one priority is the health and well-being of our staff, the people we work with, and the communities we serve. Our vision is ‘Thriving Communities’ and with this in mind, we wanted to let you know what we are doing to keep everyone as safe as possible during this time. With the change in New Zealand's alert level in response to the coronavirus pandemic we wanted to let you know the changes we are making in the delivery of our service.
What Level 2 looks like for us
With the move to Alert Level 2 taking place this Thursday, the 14th of May we wanted to give you an update on what Level 2 means for Community Waikato and how we will still be keeping you and ourselves safe.
Remote Support is still on offer
Providing remote support is still our preferred mode of operation. The team at Community Waikato would like to remind community organisations, marae and social services that we are still providing support and assistance remotely so if anyone would like to talk with one of our advisors or kaiwhakarite you can still make a request through our website. Contactless Workshop options
Over the last few weeks, we have been working on changing our normally face to face workshops, into online workshops. Face to face sessions are out and online is in, at least for the next few months. Please keep an eye on our website and our Weekly Bulletins. We will have these online workshops loaded for registration as they become available.
Office closed - except by appointment
Some of our staff will work back in the Community Waikato Office once we are in Level 2. However, the office will remain closed for visitors, except by pre-arranged appointment.
While our preferred way to continue to deliver our service is remotely, if we do meet any of you in person, we will record contact details so that contact tracing requirements are met. We will maintain self-distancing.
